Uneditable Info Layers Accidentally Become Editable When Using an Apple Pencil
Elyse Jackson | Scriptation
When making annotations on an iPad while using an Apple Pencil, if the text annotation tool is selected and a user starts to write near a non-editable info layer, the info layer text box becomes editable.
When this happens, users can accidentally edit those info layers (Large Scene Numbers, 8th Page Counts, and Dialogue Numbering), and the info layer text box is still entirely unselectable without an Apple Pencil. The only way to fix them is by regenerating the Info Layer altogether.

- In your layers panel, go to settings, and change the appearance of your Large Scene Numbers info layer.
- Exit the panel, and when you're prompted to sync your info layers to the new appearance settings, select "Yes."
- This regenerates the full info layer with the new appearance, and in the process, this will also correct the edit to the scene number.
- If you want to return to the previous appearance setting, all you have to do is change it back and regenerate the layer again!
